If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my 14 years as a photographer, it’s that wedding photography is so much more than just taking pictures.
Creating photos for commercial clients usually lead to great imagery for their site, new content for social media, and a thank you. But when we create photos for our couples, it leads to elation, surprise, sometimes tears, heaps of gratitude, and a lifetime of memories through personalized art.
There’s nothing better than having clients tell us how much fun they had with their Found Light team on their wedding day, how happy their parents were when they saw the albums, and how much they adore their photos. It’s honestly the best part of the job for all of us.

What is Found Light STUDIOS?
We are a boutique wedding photography studio based in Chicago, specializing in the creation of stunning wedding imagery by maintaining a fun and easy going atmosphere on your wedding day. We want to ensure that everyone enjoys the journey all the way through from your first consultation, up to that special day, and beyond.
Most weddings are photographed by Found Light associates, with Alain having limited availability for personal clients as well. Our aim is to offer a sensational wedding photography experience you’ll remember forever.

Client Accolades
Way more than just pictures…
On the surface, it may seem rather straight forward hiring a photographer for your wedding...find someone who's photos you like, and sign the contract.
Truth is though, your photographer will be one of, if not the closest vendor relationship you'll have for your wedding. You'll be spending all day together on one of the biggest days of your life so far, so it's imperative you genuinely enjoy your photographer, and that you feel comfortable around them.
We'll have several touchpoint before and after the wedding, including the initial consultation, your engagement session, dinner or drinks afterwards because why not, another meeting a few weeks out from your wedding, album consultations after the wedding, and not to mention other texts and phone calls, because it's important to me to be available to my clients. By the time your wedding rolls around, we're both excited to see each other, and it makes your wedding day that much better.
Let me put it to you this way. The best compliment we get is when someone (father of the bride, groomsman, your uncle, etc) pulls us aside at the end of the night to let us how great of a job they think we're doing, and to thank us for being there and for making the bride and groom so happy. I always graciously say thank you, and that it's our absolute pleasure.
In my head however, I'm thinking "You haven't seen a single photo yet pal! These could all be awful, but you still think we're good photographers solely based on the experience of working with us!"
The more this started happening, the more I realized how special it was, and that it was the thing that set us apart.
The Booking Process
Let's have a quick chat.
We always like to kick things off with a phone call. It's a great introduction for the both of us, and gives us a first look as to what your wedding plans are so we can begin discussing how to best accommodate you.
Time to grab a drink!
This is our favorite part. Whether you’re able to stop by our West Loop office, or we do a virtual consultation, it's our chance to meet each other face to face and really start getting to know one other. If you’re able to visit, you'll also have an opportunity to see and feel wedding albums, cover swatches, ask questions, and so on.
It's a match!
Once we figure out a package that fits your needs, a contract will be prepared for you though our online system where you'll be able to easily sign and submit your retainer payment.
Getting the ball rolling.
Congratulations, you're now our newest Found Light client! From here, next thing to do is discuss dates and times for any engagement or champagne studio shoots included in your package, as well as gather any other pertinent wedding information you may already have so we can update our system.
