Frequently Asked Questions

OUR CLIENTS ARE PRETTY NEW TO THIS WHOLE WEDDING THING, SO IT'S OUR JOB AS PROFESSIONALS TO HELP THEM ALONG EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.  HERE IS A BIT OF INFORMATION TO OFFER SOME INSIGHT.

How many photos will you take?  Do I get to see them all?

As many as we need to within your hours of coverage to tell the story of your wedding day through photographs…there is no set limit!  On a typical 8 hour day, we will capture about 2,000-4,000 total images between two photographers.  Back at the studio, the images uploaded and culled down to a more manageable number…between 600-1200.  To save you from going through redundant images, that narrowed down collection of photos is what you'll see online and on a delivered USB drive.

Do you edit the photos?

Of the above mentioned culled images, we then go back and take a look at each one individually and make adjustments to exposure, brightness, contrast, color, subtle color effects and black & white effects as necessary.  It’s from this set of edited images that your proofing site will be populated, disks will be created, proof prints will be made, and images will be selected for album design.  Any intensive retouching in Adobe Photoshop on individual pictures is not included in coverage pricing and carries a fee of $75/hr.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Professional Canon cameras, lenses and flashes as well as other professional tools and accessories.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes…each photographer will have two camera bodies and multiple lenses on the day of your wedding.

Do I really need a second photographer?

In our opinion, yes.  We believe the benefits of a second photographer far outweigh the cost difference of hiring only one photographer.  The only instance where we may agree a second photographer isn't absolutely necessary is if the wedding truly small enough that the absence of a second photographer would not hinder our ability to cover the events of your day  (say 50 people or less).

Are you insured?

Yes, up to $1,000,000 in liability in case of an accident.

Do you travel?

Yes!  We'd be more than happy to follow you to any destination you have in mind to document your wedding.  Travel and expenses are billed to the client; the details are outlined in the contract.

How does it work to book FLS for our wedding?

You can contact the studio either by phone, by email, or by visiting this link here to send us a message through a web form with your wedding date and other related information so we can check availability.  We can then discuss things further either by phone or in person to take care of any questions you may have.  Once you decide to go ahead with a proposed package, all it takes is a signed contract and a 50% deposit of the total and you’re all set!
